James IJames I was originally known as James VI of Scotland but succeeded Elizabeth I and became James I of England. He was an intelligent man but was referred to as a tyrant. His legacy included introducing the Divine Right of Kings, creating the Book of Sports, and selecting incompetent people as advisors, giving them titles of high standards.
Lord Strafford & Archbishop LaudLord Strafford and Archbishop Laud were Charles' advisors who helped him to gain money after the Duke of Buckingham.
James IIJames II was the successor of Charles II. He was openly Catholic which caused a big problem with the Parliament and citizens of England. Eventually rebellions broke out and James II was fled, abandoning his throne.

Charles ICharles I was the son of James I who followed in his father's footsteps. He constantly needed money to pay for his extravagant lifestyle, and did so illegally. He managed to anger the Parliament, Scots, and the rest of England and started the English Civil War.
Oliver CromwellOliver Cromwell was Puritan who lead the New Model Army or "Roundheads" to defeat King Charles l during the civil war. He later on took over Parliament and lead England in a dictatorship. He created the Blue Laws and separated England into districts.
Mary & William of OrangeMary was the Protestant daughter of James II and her husband was William of Orange. The parliament invited the couple to become king and queen of England. They agreed and signed the Bill of Rights.

Charles IICharles II (son of Charles I) became King in 1660 during the Restoration. He accepted the idea of a constitutional monarchy but secretly wanted to gain back his father's absolute power.
